A Local Business

The brainchild of local man Paul Murray, Pedal Power Galway was one of the winners at GMIT’s Startup Weekend in October 2015 (a Dragon’s Den type competition). Five months after winning, Paul’s vision of group pedibus cycling tours of Galway became a reality. PPG’s first tour was launched on March 14th, 2016, at the Bank of Ireland on Mainguard Street and quickly garnered a lot of positive media attention. The bike was subsequently involved in the Saint Patrick’s Day parades in Galway City and Moycullen.
Nine years on and Paul’s bikes are regularly seen around the city. The company now has four pedibusses, catering for tours small and large (up to 44 people).  ‘Big Bertha’ and ‘The Pink Princess’ can each carry 15 passengers, while ‘The Lady Bug Bike’ and ‘The Bumblebee Bike’ can take six passengers. The bikes are available for tour groups, corporate team-building exercises, birthdays, retirements, stag and hen parties, or any other special occasion. We can create a tour around your specific needs. All of our pedibusses are equipped with high-tech Bluetooth speakers, so you can even choose your own soundtrack.
